Jun 11, 2024

How humanity can advance from its teen years into a peaceful and harmonious society.

Bahá'u'lláh is the founder of the Bahá'í Faith, which began in the mid-19th century in Persia (now Iran). The main points of His Revelation are:

  1. Unity of God: There is only one God, who is the creator of all things and whose essence is unknowable.

  2. Unity of Religion: All major religions come from the same divine source and are part of a single, progressive revelation from God.

  3. Unity of Humanity: All people are equal and should be treated with love and respect, regardless of race, nationality, or creed.

  4. Peace and Justice: The establishment of global peace and justice is essential and can be achieved through the unity of humanity and the adoption of spiritual and moral principles.

  5. Independent Investigation of Truth: Every individual has the right and duty to independently seek out and understand truth, without relying solely on tradition or clergy.

  6. Elimination of Prejudice: Prejudices of all kinds (racial, religious, gender, etc.) must be eradicated to achieve true unity and peace.

  7. Gender Equality: Men and women are equal and must be given equal opportunities and rights.

  8. Universal Education: Education is essential for the development of individuals and society; everyone should have access to education.

  9. Harmony of Science and Religion: True science and true religion are in harmony and must work together for the advancement of civilization.

  10. World Governance: A world federal system is needed to manage international affairs, prevent war, and ensure global peace and security.

  11. Spiritual and Material Civilization: Both spiritual and material aspects of life are important and should develop in harmony for the betterment of society.

  12. Progressive Revelation: God’s will and purpose are progressively revealed through His messengers, including Bahá'u'lláh, who bring teachings suited to the needs of the time and place of their appearance.
